As a woman's body experiences child birth and natural aging processes, the muscles and ligaments surrounding her vagina can become damaged or weakened resulting in a condition known as vaginal relaxation. Women complain to their doctors that they feel "loose" and that exercise doesn't seem to help.

In response to the concerns and wishes of his patients, Dr. David Matlock, MD, FACOG, developed and perfected a procedure to treat vaginal relaxation. The procedure is known as Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation® (LVR®).

LVR is a one-hour outpatient surgical procedure that decreases the internal and external vaginal diameters and effectively enhances vaginal muscle tone, strength, and control.

In his work with LVR, Dr. Matlock discovered that many women desire a more aesthetically pleasing vulvar region. Designer Laser Vaginoplasty® (DLV®) is cosmetic surgery which enhances, and sculptures the vulvar structures.

 

In ever increasing numbers, women are asking their gynecologists for the LVR and DLV procedures. In order to accomodate the number of women requesting the procedures and the physicians who are interested in offering them, Dr. Matlock has established the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America, a training organization for gynecologists interested in vaginoplastic surgery.
